7. Write two questions that you might ask the photographer or the subjects of the picture if you had the opportunity to learn more about the photograph or / and its subject(s).

I would ask the photographer why was he so far away.

This picture was taken by Walker Evans in January 1936.The picture is outdoors and it is light out. It looks like it is in the middle of the day around noon. It also looks like a rural place because the building is kind of worn out and old. It isn't fancy or anything it is just plain and simple. I see a store and some people sitting there in a circle talking. They look like they are in their 40's or 50's. What catches my eye is that the store is different from the stores today. There is a store in this picture. It seems like it is in pretty good shape, but it is in a rural town. Not many places surround the store and there seems like a lot of spacing. This photograph gives a light feeling because it looks like a normal day at a store. It is nice and sunny out and the people in the picture look like they are relaxing and just having a nice conversation. I think that this photograph gives a light feeling because in it, it looks like a normal day at the store. People are shopping there as usually and they are standing around having a nice conversation. It is a nice sunny day out which makes it seem more relaxed and happy.A question that I would ask the photographer is what provoked him to take a picture of this store? Also, what does this store mean to him of why he wanted to take this picture?

This picture was taken by the photographer Jack Delano in May of 1941.The picture was taken in the outdoors on a sunny day. It looks like it is in the middle of the day. This place looks kind of rural since it isn't very fancy, it is just a plain building.I do no see any peole in this photograph. I am not able to tell what they look like or how old they are since there are no people in this picture. What catches my eye though is that they have religious signs around the church and the arbor. There is a church in the background and two religious signs. The church looks like it is in an okay condition. There is a lot of spacing around the church. There is also an arbor. The tone of this photograph is a positive tone.I think that this picture is a positive tone because when I see a church it reminds me of something good. Also it is light outside so it makes it look happier than it would if it was a cloudy or rainy day. It also seems quiet and peaceful since there aren't any people in the picture.A question that I would ask the photographer about this picture is how important is religion to you? I would ask this because he decided to take this picture of two religious signs and a church in the background. He must have believed strongly in religion. I would also ask is how does he feel about this picture? If he had a strong feeling for religion then maybe this picture makes him happy and when he is feeling upset then he might look at this picture or go to this spot.

This picture was taken by Walker Evans in the summer of 1936.This photo takes place outside on a sunny day. It looks like it is later on in the day at around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. This looks like the rural part of town because it is a very small grocery store. Also the food is inexpensive. There is a man looking in the window of the grocery store. He looks to be in his late 40's, but you can't really tell because he has his back towards the camera. He has a nice suit on with a nice hat and shoes to go along with it. What catches my eye is that the prices of the groceries from the store window are cheap compared to the prices of groceries now. The stores are also much larger than in this picture. There is a grocery store in the photograph. It seems to be in pretty good condition. There isn't much space around it and there is another building next to it. The tone of the photograph is a little dark and a little light. When I look at it, it gives me a happy and sad feeling. It gives me a good feeling because it is light outside from the sun and the store isn't worn down and is in a pretty good condition. It gives me a sad feeling because when I see the man looking in maybe he can't afford to buy the food because maybe to him it is a little too expensive. Even though the way he is dressed makes me think that he can afford to buy the groceries, there could still be other people that can just barely afford them. Two questions that I would ask the photographer about this picture are, what significance this store had for him to take this picture and also if he thought that the prices of the food was either pricy, cheap, or just right.
